All appointments begin with a consultation. You can submit a consultation request through our website with your idea, placement, and preferred artist. Once reviewed, we will reach out to schedule your session and collect a deposit.

We price our work by the piece or by half/full day rates, depending on the artist and the complexity of the design. We will provide an estimate during your consultation process before any deposit is required.

At Black Lantern Tattoo Atelier, a non-refundable deposit is required to reserve every tattoo appointment.

Deposit Requirements

• Full-Day Appointments: $300
• Half-Day Appointments: $200
• Smaller Appointments: $100

Your deposit secures your artist’s time and is applied toward the final cost of your tattoo.

Rescheduling Policy

We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. However, last-minute changes affect our artists’ schedules and the time reserved specifically for you.

• 72 Hours or More Notice: You may reschedule without penalty. Your full deposit will transfer to your new appointment date.
• More Than 24 Hours but Less Than 72 Hours Notice: Rescheduling results in forfeiture of 50% of your deposit. The remaining 50% transfers to your new appointment.
• 24 Hours or Less Notice: Your entire deposit is forfeited. A new deposit is required to book another appointment.
• No-Shows: Failure to attend your scheduled appointment without prior notice results in forfeiture of your entire deposit.

Cancellation Policy

All deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel your appointment rather than reschedule, your deposit will not be refunded.

Our artists dedicate significant time to consultations, custom artwork, preparation, and reserving appointment slots specifically for each client. Our deposit policy protects that time while ensuring fairness to everyone.

Black Lantern is a private, appointment-only atelier. We do not accept walk-ins. This ensures every artist can give their undivided attention to their scheduled client in a focused, quiet environment.

Get a full night's sleep, eat a solid meal before arriving, and stay hydrated. Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications for 24 hours prior. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed.

To maintain the focused and serene atmosphere of our atelier, we prefer you come alone. If you need support, one quiet guest is permitted, but please let your artist know in advance.
